I have a ? for the native french speakers?

i have come across something while i was teaching myself francais that i dont understand.I have come to the conclusion that ma and mon mean my.i am a guy, will i ever say mon if i was in a conversation.I realized this bc Ma cherie is something a guy tells a female.if guys do say mon, can yall give examples of what a guy can say when using mon or ma.thanks in advance.
