Can I send pictures through my (hopefully future) DSi's Pictochat?

My cousin and I were excited about the DSi's camera and we pictochat all night long when we sleep at our gramma's. We sleep on separate floors ( :( )and get great communication. We were wondering if you can send pictures through Pictochat which is also on the original DS's.
