How does mainstream (read:white) America expect minorities to get ahead.....?

Well, when I look at the system, I see a lot of blacks so I have no idea what you're trying to say because that may have been true a couple of decades ago but not so much anymore. The system isn't all white like it use to be. And I think sometimes this affirmative action works against the very people it's supposed to be helping.
